In a remarkable turn of events, an unprecedented update on New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has emerged following his devastating Achilles injury in week one of the NFL Season. Just eleven weeks after surgery, it has been announced that Rodgers was cleared to participate in practice again starting today.

With the crucial deadline of December 20 looming, the New York Jets face a pivotal decision on whether to activate Aaron Rodgers from Injured Reserve. In these next few weeks, the team will have the opportunity to assess the feasibility of Rodgers’ ambitious comeback. He’s been determined and outspoken about how he plans on making history in his attempt to come back and play this season.

Coach Robert Saleh said Rodgers is cleared for functional football activity but not cleared for contact. That would be the last step in his recovery process. It would be unheard of for a player to recover and get back on the field after a season-ending Achilles injury.

On his weekly stop by the “Pat McAfee Show,” Rodger reaffirmed there would be two key factors to his returning this season. His health and the team’s standing in the playoff race. The Jets sit at 4-7.

Rodgers turns 40 this weekend and is looking to make some history returning this season, but we are very far away from Rodgers suiting up for the Jets from the estimations we have been told. But crazier has happened, well, sort of.
