The legal drama between Ciara and Future has a new chapter. According to TMZ, Ciara is reportedly worried about the safety of her boyfriend, Russell Wilson, and has said so in new court documents.
You may recall that Future dropped his defamation suit against Ciara last month. Ciara did not drop her own case. TMZ reports that she has now filed new documents in that case arguing that Future can be dangerous.
One example reportedly cited was an Instagram caption by Future that showed two football emojis followed by three gun emojis. Ciara’s filing also points to Future’s lyrics. He recently released a song called “Juice” on DJ Esco’s “Esco Terrestrial” mixtape, and Ciara reportedly took a line about pulling up on a man over his baby mother as a threat to her relationship with Russell. According to the report, she called the lyrics “frightening” and “socially irresponsible” given the recent rash of gun violence.
The TMZ report did not include a response from Future. Lyrics are not always about a real person or event, and Future has multiple children with different mothers, so who the line refers to is open to interpretation. What do you think? Is this a reach, or a real cause for concern?
