Afroman has reportedly settled a lawsuit with a woman he punched during a concert, according to the Associated Press. The suit was filed in 2015 against the rapper, whose real name is Joseph Foreman, by a woman named Haley.
The incident happened at a Biloxi nightclub after Haley went onstage during his performance. Foreman later pleaded guilty to an assault charge connected to the incident.
Haley then sued for damages over her injuries. She also claimed that Foreman mocked her by releasing a song about the incident called “Stay Off The Stage.” Foreman has not publicly responded to that claim in the reporting we reviewed.
According to Haley’s attorney, Tim Holleman, the settlement is expected to be signed next week, and the terms of the deal will be shared at that time. Holleman also said Haley has already settled a separate lawsuit with the nightclub.
We will be watching for more details once the agreement is finalized.
