On Sunday night, Lil Wayne hosted “LIV on Sunday” at Stereo Live in Houston during NBA All Star Weekend. The event also doubled as a celebration of Birdman’s birthday, and many celebrities were reportedly in attendance.
At one point Wayne used the stage to air his grievances with the NBA. He told the crowd that he was banned from NBA events and blamed the Miami Heat. Last week Wayne left a Heat game after cheering for the Lakers, and he said that was only the start. He then led the crowd in a chant against the league and the Heat, and he aimed some personal remarks at Heat players and at Chris Bosh’s wife. Baller Alert is not repeating those remarks.
Neither Chris Bosh nor his wife had commented publicly on Wayne’s remarks at the time of this post. Wayne’s claim that he has been banned has not been confirmed by the NBA or the Heat.
