On Thursday, Amazon and the NFL announced a deal that will allow the online company to stream Thursday Night Football games for the next two seasons. According to ESPN.com, the two-year deal is worth roughly $130 million, which means Amazon will be paying about $65 million per season. This is a significant increase from the $10 million Twitter paid for the 2016 season.

“Amazon was a tremendous partner for ‘Thursday Night Football’ in 2017 and as we continue our mission of delivering NFL games to fans whether they watch on television or on digital platforms, we are excited to work with them again for the next two seasons,” Brian Rolapp, chief media and business officer for the NFL, said in a statement.

“Having over 100 million Amazon Prime members provides a massive platform to distribute ‘Thursday Night Football’ digitally, not only to our fans in the United States but also around the world,” he continued.

The terms of the deal will allow Amazon to stream a total of 11 games in 2018, beginning with the Vikings at Rams in Week 4. The Thanksgiving game was not included in the deal so no Turkey and Chill.
