Stylist Ian Connor has been in the headlines lately, and it has nothing to do with fashion. Now Amber Rose is speaking out about the rape allegations made against him, which Connor denies.
The allegations first drew wide attention in 2014, when an Emory University student named Malika published a blog post accusing Connor of raping her. Broadly reported that it obtained a DeKalb County Police Department report dated October 5, 2014, connected to her account. After the post spread online, reports say six more women came forward with their own accusations, bringing the total to at least seven women.
While many of Connor’s peers have stayed quiet, Amber Rose has not. In an interview with The Daily Beast, she said that women have reached out to her through her SlutWalk platform, and that she believes about 21 women have contacted her so far. She also said she is not a lawyer and cannot say what is or is not true, noting that she was not there and that “it’s innocent until proven guilty.”
Connor has denied all of the allegations. None of them have been proven in court.
