Andy Cohen Says the ‘Real Housewives’ Franchise is Headed to Dubai: ‘Everything’s Bigger in Dubai’

Andy Cohen, the host of “Watch What Happens Live” and executive producer of the “Real Housewives” series, has confirmed he is not leaving Bravo. As he approaches his 20th year with the network, Cohen told PEOPLE that his tenure is far from over, celebrating next year as the 15th year of his popular show. “I’ll stay as long as Bravo wants me,” Cohen expressed, underscoring his commitment to the network.

This affirmation comes directly from Bravo, which has dismissed rumors of Cohen negotiating an exit as completely unfounded. “There is absolutely no truth to this story—it is obviously made up by a source who is not credible,” a spokesperson for Bravo stated.

The rumors of Cohen’s departure surfaced just weeks after Leah McSweeney, a former star of the “Real Housewives of New York City,” filed a lawsuit against him. The lawsuit, filed in the Southern District of New York and obtained by PEOPLE, accuses Cohen and Bravo of fostering a toxic workplace environment where excessive alcohol consumption was encouraged. McSweeney also alleges that Cohen engaged in cocaine use with some of the show’s stars, claims that have been vehemently denied by sources close to Cohen.

In a stark rebuttal, Cohen’s attorney, Orin Snyder, described the allegations as “littered with false, offensive, and defamatory statements,” threatening further legal action should the claims not be withdrawn. Snyder emphasized the baselessness of the accusations, asserting that they were crafted for sensationalist purposes rather than grounded in truth.

Amidst these legal entanglements, Cohen found himself apologizing to another “Real Housewives” alum, Brandi Glanville, for a separate incident. After Glanville accused Cohen of sexual harassment based on an inappropriate video he sent in 2022, Cohen issued an apology on X, acknowledging the joke was in poor taste despite its comedic intention.

Despite these controversies, Cohen’s position at Bravo appears secure as he continues to be a pivotal figure in the network’s programming and public image.
