Shaquille O’Neal’s attempt to get a lawsuit from his alleged former mistress thrown out has failed.
Vanessa sued Shaq for assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress. In her lawsuit, she claims Shaq harassed her after he suspected she had been in contact with his then wife, Shaunie, and after she told him she might be pregnant. Her suit also claims he sent text messages asking people to make her stay quiet. Shaq has denied wrongdoing.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Shaq asked the court to dismiss the case, and the judge said no. The order denies his motion to dismiss both the assault claim and the emotional distress claim, so the lawsuit moves forward.
It’s another legal headache for the Big Diesel, whose personal life has been anything but quiet since he and Shaunie split. For now, the case goes on.
