A new accusation has surfaced against former NFL player Darren Sharper. TMZ Sports reported that a woman went to Miami Beach police after seeing news coverage of the allegations against him in Los Angeles.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ Sports, the woman said she met Sharper and friends at a Miami nightclub on September 27 and went back to his condo. She told police she was extremely intoxicated, and the report says two witnesses heard her say she did not want to be there. She told police she woke up the next morning with Sharper having sex with her. The report says she received medical treatment but did not contact police until January 19, which she said was to “clear her conscience.” That was one day after Sharper’s arrest in Los Angeles.
Miami Beach police confirmed an open investigation. In Los Angeles, Sharper has been charged in connection with allegations involving two women, including counts of rape by use of drugs, and was released on bail. Sharper has not been convicted of any crime. A response from Sharper’s attorney was not included in the reports we reviewed.
