Apple introduced the iPhone 13 Tuesday at the company’s annual fall event. Did the iPhone change significantly from the 12 model to the 13? Not much.
Like with the 12, the iPhone 13 will come in Pro and Pro max versions, along with the Mini. The retail price for the phones starts at $829, with the Mini starting at $729. Apple will offer a $30 discount if purchased through a carrier.
Storage capacity has increased for the iPhone 13. The Mini starts with 128 GB, and a 1 TB version is available for the Pro model.
The camera got an upgrade as well, along with some new video features. One of those is Cinematic Mode, which functions like a Portrait mode for videos.
It boasts a more powerful processor in a brand new A15 Bionic chip and six-core CPU with two high-performance cores, four high-efficiency cores, and a quad-core GPU.
Battery life has increased from the iPhone 12, with the Mini lasting one and a half hours longer than its previous ideation. And the iPhone 13 will last two and a half hours longer than its predecessor.
The phone also got a bit of a facelift. The notch has been reduced in size by 20 percent and will take up less space on the screen.
Preorders for the iPhone 13 begin this Friday and will be available in stores on September 24.
