Apple has agreed to pay $113 million to settle an Arizona case alleging the tech company fleeced consumers by intentionally slowing down older iPhones to entice users into buying newer, more expensive models.

According to AJC.com, the judgment announced on Wednesday brings closure to the class-action suit brought by more than 30 states. Apple acknowledged its 2017 software update deliberately weakened the performance of its older devices.

This payout follows on the heels of a similar class-action suit in California in which Apple was ordered to pay a much larger sum of $500 million to affected customers.

While the company has never acknowledged any wrongdoing on its part, it has issued an apology and agreed to offer customers a replacement battery at a deeply discounted price.
