Are Nacho Fries Here to Stay? Taco Bell Strongly Considering It

Taco Bell nacho fries

Fans have been begging for the famed Taco Bell Nacho Fries to remain a permanent fixture on menus, and the company is finally giving in to these demands.

On Tuesday, Taco Bell CEO Mark King confirmed that the Mexican food giant is strongly considering keeping the dish on menus nationwide all year long.

“We’re looking at and testing bringing fries permanently onto the menu, which would increase our lunch business dramatically,” he explained during an investor event on Tuesday.

This is excellent news for customers who have been enjoying the fries since 2018 when they began showing up in restaurants. However, despite the widespread popularity, the golden fries and their accompanying dipping sauce have only been presented as one of the chain’s limited edition items. Another fan favorite that Taco Bell randomly pulls and reintroduces is its Mexican Pizza, which has been the subject of shortages due to an influx of orders every time its return is announced.

King went on to explain that offering french fries would make Taco Bell more appealing to the late morning and early afternoon crowd.

“When you look at breakfast and lunch, we’re significantly behind,” King explained.

For now, Nacho Fries are available for purchase at all participating locations. In their latest variation, Nacho Fries can also now be enjoyed in a seven-layer version topped with nacho cheese, guacamole and seasoned beef, and more. It’s unclear if Taco Bell plans to get rid of the fries one last time or just leave the menu as it is.
