There’s another “Wives” show in the works, and this one is about the women connected to the Black Mafia Family.
Ozone Magazine reports that a pilot for “BMF Wives” may be headed to TV. BMF co-founder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory has become a household name, thanks in part to Rick Ross, even while serving a 30 year federal sentence. According to Ozone, there’s been growing friction between Meech and his brother and former partner, Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.
Terry’s wife, Tonesa Welch, who calls herself the “First Lady of BMF,” appears to be leading the project, and she hopes to help tell Terry’s side of the story.
According to Ozone, the rest of the cast includes women with their own ties to the organization. Gricelda was involved with music producer Damon Thomas, Kim Kardashian’s ex husband, who agreed to cooperate with the government in the BMF case. Lisa’s partner, PJ, was reportedly a high ranking BMF affiliate on Terry’s side. And Tiffany served two years for her role in laundering money connected to her partner’s case.
There’s already Basketball Wives LA and Miami, Football Wives, Baseball Wives, Mob Wives, Real Housewives and Love & Hip Hop. A show about the women behind one of the most famous drug organizations in hip hop history would definitely be different. Would you watch?
