ASAP Relli is ready to move forward. The former ASAP Mob member has decided to walk away from his lawsuit against ASAP Rocky, ending a years-long legal battle over a 2021 shooting.
“At this point, he’s ready to simply move on from the shooting,” his lawyer, Aaron Morris, said in a statement to Billboard. The ordeal has been a nightmare for him, and the statements calling him a ‘liar’ and worse effectively eliminated his chances of a career in the industry.
Relli, born Terrell Ephron, had sued for financial damages, but court documents dismissing the case are expected to be filed this week. The civil trial was previously scheduled for January 2026.
Though Rocky was criminally acquitted in early 2025, Relli is keeping his defamation case alive against Rocky and his attorney, Joe Tacopina, over comments made to the media calling the shooting claims “extortion” and a “get-rich-quick scheme.
“He’s going to litigate the defamation action because of the damages it caused, but as to the shooting, he’s thankful he wasn’t hurt worse and is focusing on rebuilding his life,” Morris added.
The alleged incident took place in November 2021 near a Hollywood hotel, where Relli claimed Rocky fired a gun at him. Rocky denied the accusation, saying the weapon was a prop loaded with blanks.
Despite felony charges brought in 2022, Rocky was ultimately acquitted by a Los Angeles jury after rejecting a plea deal that could have landed him behind bars for over two decades.
