Singer and producer The Dream has had the felony assault case against him dismissed.
According to The FADER, a Manhattan court dismissed the case on March 12, 2015. Prosecutor Jacqueline Cornell said, “After a thorough investigation, we have determined that we cannot prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
The Dream, whose legal name is Terius Nash, was arrested in 2014 after his former girlfriend Lydia accused him of assault and strangulation while she was pregnant. He turned himself in at the time. He has maintained his innocence throughout the case.
With the charges dismissed, the legal matter is over for now. We will keep you posted if anything changes.
