Atlanta police were called to four unrelated shootings early Sunday morning, leaving one man dead and three others injured.
The fatal shooting happened on Lakewood Avenue about 2:30 am, local police stated. Police found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime.
Officers responded to three other shootings. There was another shooting around 1:45 am at the 2100 block of Defoor Hills Drive, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. A woman was shot but was confirmed alert before being taken to a nearby hospital.
However, she refused to tell officers what happened.
Two hours later, police went out to the 1200 block of Martin Luther King Jr Drive and found a man shot. He took himself to the hospital before police arrived on the scene.
The last call came in around 5:30 am about a shooting that occurred on Lee Street. Police found a man with a gunshot wound. He apparently gave police conflicting stories on how he got shot. He was transported to the hospital and listed in stable condition.
All four shootings remain under investigation.
