Megan Thee Stallion has never needed much help turning a moment into a message, and her latest verse has fans convinced she just turned a messy breakup into a clean warning shot. After publicly ending her relationship with Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson in April and accusing him of cheating, Meg is now back on wax with a line that has the internet leaning all the way in.
Megan Put The Cheating Line Front And Center
“I ain’t goin’ through no phones, that shit stupid/If I catch a n***a cheatin’ on me, it’s deuces,” Megan raps on BossMan Dlow’s new “Motion Party (Remix).”
Then she keeps the pressure on, adding, “Shit strict over here, I’m a rich bitch/Thought he did his big one ‘til he met the biggest.”
The remix arrived Friday, May 29, and listeners quickly tied the bars to Megan’s recent split from Thompson. To be clear, Megan does not name him in the verse, but the timing landed loud enough for fans to start connecting dots. (TrackBlasters)
The Romance Went Public Fast
That reaction did not come out of nowhere. Megan and Thompson went public in July 2025, after dating rumors picked up when he appeared in the background of one of her Instagram posts. Days later, they made their red carpet debut at Megan’s inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City.
At the time, Megan spoke highly of him, saying, “I have never dated somebody so kind.” She also added, “This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.” (ELLE)
Then The Breakup Got Very Public
The public tone changed in April. Megan shared an Instagram Story that appeared to accuse Thompson of infidelity, writing, “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet.’”
She continued, “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous????’”
Megan later confirmed the breakup in a statement to PEOPLE. “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
One Verse, Plenty Of Internet Side-Eye
Thompson, a four-time NBA champion now listed as a Dallas Mavericks guard, has not issued a full public statement addressing Megan’s claims.
So now, one remix verse has turned into a full-on fan investigation. Megan may not have said his name on wax, but after that public breakup, “deuces” did not exactly need a decoder ring.
