Former Bad Girls Club cast member Shannade Clermont is facing a new problem in her federal case. Prosecutors say she broke the terms of her pretrial release by traveling without permission.
Last month, the 24 year old model was arrested and charged with wire fraud, access device fraud and aggravated identity theft. Prosecutors allege she used a man’s debit card to pay bills and make online purchases after he was found dead following a meeting with her. She has not been convicted of any charge.
Clermont was later released on a $100,000 bond. According to The Blast, the conditions include drug testing and treatment, pretrial supervision and surrendering her travel documents. She was reportedly limited to travel within Georgia, California and New York.
In new court documents obtained by The Blast, the U.S. Attorney says Clermont violated those terms by “traveling without authorization to Detroit, Michigan last Friday, July 27, 2018.” The Blast reports she was in Detroit for a hosting appearance at a gentlemen’s club, and that the club’s manager confirmed it. Prosecutors want her future travel requests denied while the case continues.
The Blast also reports that Clermont has hired attorney Jeffrey Lichtman, who is known for representing Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman. A response from Clermont’s camp to the travel allegation was not included in the report.
