Baller Alert reported this first. After Columbus Short’s Fourth of July arrest in Dallas, TMZ reported that he was taken in for public intoxication following a reported bar incident. When photos from that weekend began to circulate, a young woman could be seen by his side.
Baller Alert looked into who she was. According to our sources at the time, her name is Loren, a Dallas fashion blogger. Our sources said Loren met Short about two weeks earlier, when he hosted a party at Candleroom in Dallas, and that she had been photographed with him in the days since, including in photos posted to her own Instagram page. Sources also told Baller Alert that she was with Short on the day of his arrest.
Neither Short nor Loren had publicly described the nature of their relationship when this was reported, and we have not independently confirmed that the two are dating. Short had also not publicly responded to the arrest at the time.
