The Basketball Wives LA reunion hasn’t aired yet, but according to someone who was there for the taping, the Gilbert Arenas drama between Laura Govan and Draya Michele is about to come to a head.
Laura and Draya have been at odds all season. Their tension boiled over during the cast’s mixed martial arts outing, and Draya later apologized to Laura on the show. Since then, rumors have been flying that the apology was about more than gossip. Reach Around Radio reported that Draya and Gilbert, Laura’s longtime partner and the father of her four children, had hooked up, and that Gilbert wasn’t denying it. Baller Alert reported the Draya and Gilbert rumor last month too.
According to a Baller Alert reader who attended the reunion taping, it all came out on stage. The reader says Laura went after Draya about Gilbert, and Draya fired right back, claiming Gilbert had paid her $20,000. From there, the reader says, things got even more personal between the two.
None of this is confirmed until the reunion airs, and this is one person’s account of what happened in the room. Draya, Laura and Gilbert have not commented. Laura and Gilbert recently got engaged again.
If even half of this makes it to air, the reunion is going to be worth watching. Laura has made it clear all season that she doesn’t think Draya belongs in her world, and Draya has made it clear she isn’t backing down.
