Baller Alert received a submission this week from a woman sharing her account of an encounter with Arizona Cardinals player Tyrann Mathieu. Her claims are her own and have not been verified. She also copied Mathieu on the email she sent to Baller Alert, and for the first time in the history of our Groupie Tale series, the player replied to all.
In his reply, which Baller Alert was first to publish, Mathieu said “your entire story is false,” apart from details about his family. He pointed to what he called inconsistencies in her account, said he loves his girlfriend and that nothing could change that, and said he was enjoying the Fourth of July with his family.
The woman had sent Baller Alert screenshots of text messages with her original submission. We have not verified them, and we cannot confirm either side of this story.
One thing is certain: nobody expected a reply all.
