Baller Alert has reviewed exclusive footage of the altercation that took place backstage at the State Of Emergency 2 concert in St. Louis over the weekend. As we reported earlier, we knew video from the night would surface. TMZ has since published one piece of footage, and we have more of the picture to share.
The clip making the rounds can make it look like one continuous fight. According to our sources at the time, that is not how the night unfolded. Sources told Baller Alert that an incident began in August Alsina’s dressing room, where August and his security invited promoter Loose Cannon Slim in to discuss why Slim was set to perform before Migos. Our sources say August was unhappy with the decision and delayed the show by about two hours, while Slim reportedly saw it as a business decision tied to a band being booked at the last minute.
Our sources say things became confrontational in the dressing room and that Slim left the room afterward. Those details come from sources speaking to Baller Alert and have not been confirmed by either side.
In the footage we reviewed, a man in a white hoodie, who appears to be on good terms with both men, steps in to calm the situation. A separate clip reportedly shows a second confrontation later on. Another piece of footage shows August remaining in his dressing room until around 1:00am, well after the concert ended, before about 10 police officers escorted him to his hotel for the night.
August’s side of the story was not available at the time of this report, and we will update this post in the same week if he or his team responds. Remember where you heard it first: Baller Alert.
