Eight years ago today, rapper Kid Cudi released his debut album, ‘Man on the Moon: The End of Day’.

⠀⠀
In collaboration with Kanye West’s GOOD Music, Dream On, and Universal Motown, Cudi’s album was a unique body of work, with an alternative, yet hip-hop, sound that remains unmatched.

⠀⠀
Selling 104,000 copies in its first week and reaching #4 on the Billboard 200 charts, ‘Man on the Moon…’ was the creation that brought us hits like ‘Pursuit of Happiness’, ‘Make Her Say’, and the Billboard Hot 100 single, ‘Day ‘n’ Nite’.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Divided into five acts and narrated by none other than Common, Cudi’s album brought a different perspective and sound to the hip-hop scene, while telling the stories of someone who is on an emotional rollercoaster and battling with themselves in a variety of ways.
