Ballerific Sports: Tiger Woods Talks Physical Rehabilitation – blogged by: @proudlylauren

it’s been a long 10 months since hip and back injuries temporarily removed golf superstar Tiger Woods from the game. Those injuries coupled with his infamously aggressive swing, leave fans questioning whether or not he will ever return to his peak performance.

The golf talent even questioned himself, unsure at one point if he would ever be able to return. Those doubts seemed to have disappeared as of late though, when he spoke at the Congressional Country Club at the Quicken Loans National Tournament. There, he spoke about his career in present tense sounding eager about his return.

“I’m still progressing, I’m still getting stronger. I’m excited about what’s transpired so far,” Woods said. “Getting leaner. I’ve lost some body fat, but I’ve kept the weight up. I’ve gotten stronger and it’s how I recover from day to day. If anything bad happens, that’s one of the things. I’m sore. It’s about trying to recover for the next day and I just need to get in more golf shape, hit more golf balls, things of that nature. I’m still working on it. I’m still progressing. I wish I could be here and play and be out here and get it going again. I miss playing.”

But he acknowledges he’s not where he wants to be just yet, admitting he’s played 18 holes daily, but wants to achieve 36.

To get himself there, he’s been spending time in the gym, bicycling and swimming.

“I’ve pushed through a lot of injuries and rehabs before in the past and I’m trying to do it correctly this time”

No matter the long list of injuries Tiger Woods has suffered, his desire and discipline remains the same. Hopefully he gets back out on the green soon, I’m sure 18 holes at home feels nothing like a PGA tour.
