Beyoncé’s album Lemonade set off a wave of conversation among fans, including a hunt to figure out who “Becky with the good hair” might be in the song “Sorry.” Fashion designer Rachel Roy became part of that online conversation after an Instagram post that fans connected to the lyric. Neither Roy nor the couple has confirmed any connection.
Now, according to Page Six, personal information from Roy’s computer has been stolen in a security breach. Page Six reports that Beyoncé and Jay Z are bracing for the possibility that the material gets released.
Page Six quoted a source as saying, “Rachel has confided to friends about the stolen emails. She has no idea how they’ve been swiped but is aware how much harm they can cause.” The same source said Roy wanted to step away from the attention and fears the spotlight could return to her if the material ends up online.
These details come from unnamed sources, and nothing from the emails has been published. Representatives for Roy and the couple had not publicly confirmed the report at the time it was published.
Baller Alert will keep an eye on this one.
