Despite many speculations and claims, Cash Money rapper B.G. has not been released from prison.

Earlier this week, a video hit the internet claiming rapper B.G. was released from prison. Many people believed that the man in the video was the rapper but a guy by the name of La’Falle quickly debunked the claims.

La’Falle originally posted the video to Instagram to celebrate the release of “G-Money,” whose real name is Lagarius Watson.

On Tuesday, La’Falle shared another video to clarify that Lagarius was not B.G.

“I know everybody got it confused thinking it was B.G. who was getting out, this ain’t B.G. That’s G-Money,” he said. “So y’all get that right. Put some respect on that. No disrespect to B.G. though. I miss with the bizzle. But it ain’t him though, that’s G-Money.”

The 37-year-old was recently incarcerated at FCI Yazoo City Low located in Yazoo City, Mississippi.

A video surfaced online of Birdman saying his Cash Money protégé would be getting out in a few weeks. B.G. is currently serving a 14-year sentence in a California prison. In July 2012, the rapper pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, and obstructed justice by convincing an associate to claim ownership of the gun.

Following his sentence, B.G. shared a statement about his fate in jail.

“I am relieved I found out what my fate was yesterday because I was facing 30 years and my case kept getting pushed back,” he said. “I am just ready to get my sentence started because it’s not RIP BG it’s FREE BG. I feel happy and blessed that I will still be a young man and still be able to see daylight because I am someone, a dad, a brother and a son.”
