Big Tigger’s mugshot is now spreading across social media, but the booking photo is only the beginning of a much heavier story surrounding the longtime Atlanta radio personality’s arrest.
Darian Morgan, better known as Big Tigger, was arrested in Fulton County on Saturday on battery and cruelty to children charges, according to WSB-TV. The outlet reported that Tigger was later released on a $10,000 bond after allegedly assaulting his wife, Alicia Brown. TMZ reported that the bond included $9,000 tied to an aggravated battery charge and $1,000 connected to the cruelty-to-children charge.
The new details come from an arrest affidavit tied to a May incident at the couple’s Sandy Springs home. According to WSB-TV, Brown told police the argument began in their bedroom over text messages the media personality allegedly received from a female co-worker. Brown claimed the messages had been going back and forth for weeks before the situation escalated.
Brown alleged her husband yelled, “You’re psycho,” before pulling out his phone to record her. She told police she tried to grab the phone, and Tigger allegedly tackled her to the floor while trying to get it back, leaving her with a small bruise on her lower lip.
The affidavit says the argument later moved into the couple’s basement office. Brown allegedly unplugged a computer and yelled, “I will show you psycho,” adding, “I helped purchase this equipment for the two of us.” She claimed he then grabbed her arms and shoved her, causing her to stumble headfirst into an office door. The report says Brown suffered a deep cut above her left eye and was later taken to Grady Memorial Hospital after first going to urgent care.
One of the biggest new details is that the alleged incident was reportedly captured on the couple’s Ring security system. Brown also initially told police she was afraid “nobody would believe me” because Tigger is a well-known celebrity.
The child cruelty charge is reportedly connected to the couple’s 13-year-old son being home and allegedly hearing the incident. Under Georgia law, third-degree cruelty to children can apply when a child under 18 sees or hears a battery, family violence battery, or forcible felony.
He has has denied the allegations. In a statement previously reported by TMZ, he said, “I want to say categorically that these allegations and accusations that have been circulating are false.” He also asked for “grace, privacy, and restraint” as his family navigates the situation.

The arrest is a stunning turn for Tigger, whose long career includes BET’s “Rap City: Tha Bassment,” “106 & Park,” V-103, and sports work with the Atlanta Hawks and Falcons.
