Cash Money co-founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams spoke out about famously locking lips with Lil Wayne in a 2006 photo that took the tabloids and internet by storm.

The 52-year-old sat down with the “Big Facts Podcast,” where he told hosts Baby Jade, DJ Scream, and Big Bank that he does not regret kissing Wayne. Birdman explained that he viewed the Cash Money star as his child and kissed him because he didn’t think he’d see him again based on the fast life that the music mogul was living.

“I was in the streets, and I thought this might be the last time he ever see me,” he confessed.

While many people have long slammed the cringe photo, Birdman says that their shared kiss was that of a father and son, considering that he has been in Wayne’s life since he was 9-years-old. He told the hosts, “I love him like my own.”

During the interview, Big Bank asks Birdman what one thing he would take back if he could. The “Pop Bottles” rapper replied that he would take back the tension with Lil Wayne, stemming from suing Cash Money in 2015 for $51 million. Weezy claimed in the suit docs that the label violated his contract terms and delayed the release of “Tha Carter V.” The case was settled in 2018.

“That hurt me more than anything because I love that n—a, and I meant nothing but right. I thought I did right,” Birdman stated. Gladly, he revealed that the two have since squashed their beef and have a close bond again.
