Today is a very a special birthday for the late and great Mr. Christian Dior. On this day, he would have been 111 years old. Mr. Dior was super talented and took fashion to another level. Dior’s success was based on the innovation of both his designs and his business practices which made him the most successful fashion designer in the world.

The brand was founded December 14, 1946. His vision took over the fashion industry and is still soaring high in the industry. Christian Dior’s designs have been worn by Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kimora Lee, Olivia Palermo, and so many more. Dior’s company continues to operate at the forefront of the fashion industry and with the gorgeous Rihanna as the face of the brand.

To celebrate his birthday and since it is #ThrowbackThursday, I decided to take it back to Christian Dior’s Spring 2009 collection and feature the top 10 looks of that collection. I chose this collection because this was a super dope collection that featured a lot of sexiness from the sheer skirts to corset tops. I would love to see the throwback looks on the red carpet… Definitely an eye-catcher!

Lets check out the looks below…Starting with black and sheer combinations:

Jourdan Dunn gave a little summertime fine…Love the colors. The looks are so fun!
The ladies in pink taking over… The pink combinations features sheer skirts and dresses, halter tops, and prints.
The last three gowns would look great on the red carpet in 2016, especially the very last gown with the v-cut halter sheer detailing. I could see Jennifer Lopez in the look. It would look fabulous on her.
Which #throwback look are you feeling?
