On Thursday, Black Ink Crew star Ceaser Emanuel held a press conference to address the defamation lawsuit he recently filed against his ex, Crystal.
According to TMZ, Ceaser is suing over public statements Crystal made on social media and in interviews repeating abuse claims made earlier this year by their 17 year old daughter. Ceaser denies the claims. He says he disciplined his daughter by taking away some of the items he had bought for her, and that the abuse accusation is false.
Ceaser says he is worried about his daughter and wants her back in his life. “I miss her by my side,” he said, adding that he feels shut out whenever he tries to speak with her directly.
He claims in the lawsuit that Crystal’s posts and interviews are misleading and have damaged his reputation, costing him sponsorship deals. He also says his VH1 show was paused during an internal review and that his volunteer work with underserved children ended. Ceaser says he shared a letter from the Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services in Georgia that cleared him of any abuse allegations. The contents of that letter have not been independently confirmed.
Crystal has publicly called his statements lies. TMZ reported that she declined to comment, while her attorney, Seth Schraier, said a temporary restraining order bars Ceaser from contact and harassment and argued that the press conference could violate it.
