Scandal actor Columbus Short is accused of threatening his wife during an incident at their home, according to a restraining order and reporting from TMZ on April 17, 2014.
Short’s wife, Tanee, says that on April 7 at the couple’s home in Chatsworth, California, Short came home drunk and demanded they play a game called Truth or Truth, which she says he described as one where lying has consequences. According to the filing, he named men he believed she had been involved with and said he would stab her in the leg if she lied. She says she denied it, that he then held a knife to her throat and threatened murder and suicide, and that he pinned her down and choked her. She says she escaped but that he slashed her tire as she left.
A restraining order was issued, and Short was reportedly ordered to move out of the home, with authorities present. Tanee also filed for divorce and is seeking sole custody of the couple’s young daughter, according to reports.
These are allegations from a court filing and had not been proven. Short had not publicly responded to the filing at the time of this report.
