On Wednesday evening, Baller Alert posted a reader submitted blind item about an unnamed Atlanta rapper said to be seriously ill. As the post itself stated, blind items are submitted by readers and Baller Alert cannot confirm that they are accurate. Because of the nature of the claims, Baller Alert did not name the rapper or the condition.
Soon after, the post drew nearly 4,000 comments on Instagram. Some commenters dug up old forum posts and an audio clip on YouTube and guessed that the blind item could be about OG Maco. Baller Alert did not name him. Those guesses are unconfirmed.
OG Maco has since responded on Instagram. He denied the rumors and posted audio of an ex girlfriend calling them a vicious rumor.
Maco’s current girlfriend, Aleece, also reached out to Baller Alert. She told us the voices in the audio are Maco and his ex, and she disputes the rumors being spread about them. We are not publishing private health details about anyone who is not a public figure.
Baller Alert was the first to publish the blind item that started the conversation. Maco has denied the claims, and nothing here has been confirmed. We will update if there is more to report.
