Megan Thee Stallion Legal Team Looking to Take Legal Action Against Bloggers Over False Claims Amid Tory Lanez Trial

Megan Thee Stallion

Many blogs might face legal action after spreading false claims about Megan Thee Stallion during the Tory Lanez firearm and assault case.
As a result of the claims, the Houston hottie has been criticized and blamed for being shot by the rapper, while others claim she was the aggressor.
It has been suggested in several articles that bloggers were partly to blame for Megan’s misogynistic and abusive attacks.

“It’s been very clear, as I’ve seen entertainment and gossip spaces commenting on the case, that she has been set up as someone who is out for herself, lying, and problematic in all these ways,” said Catherine Knight Steele, a communications professor at the University of Maryland.  “This points to the way that mis- and disinformation, and misogynoir, are trafficked because of its profitability, even in the Black community.  It’s profitable for these sites to traffic in the most vile stereotypes about Black women.”

Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, stated they are “exploring all legal options” to clear up rumors regarding the shooting case as Lanez’s assault trial ends.
According to Spiro, action could be taken against bloggers who deliberately spread misinformation about the trial to portray Megan as the wrongdoer.
In May, Milagro Gramz, a blogger who has covered Lanez’s assault case, shared an LAPD report in which a doctor “confirmed” that Megan’s foot injuries were “due to stepping on glass,” NBC reported.
Despite Megan’s statement about being shot in the foot, Gramz’s post circulated on social media, fueling conspiracy theories that she had lied.
Gramz acknowledged that her content wasn’t always supported by facts but said she wasn’t aiming to “tear anyone down.”

“On my end, everything is not going to be something that was intended to be a factual statement,” Gramz told NBC News.  “It might have a comedic effect.”

Jordan Siev, Megan’s other lawyer, confirmed that she reported several of Gramz’s tweets on Megan’s behalf.  The platform confirmed Gramz violated its policies and temporarily locked her account.
Jason Lee, the creator of Hollywood Unlocked, has also come under fire for allegedly giving the assault case biased coverage by implying that Megan’s actions caused the assault.

Lee told NBC News that his platform is “unbiased,” and it was “unfair” to assume either party’s guilt.

He also reiterated those claims and called out the NBC reporter in an Instagram post Thursday.

“I’ve always remained neutral – and in contact with both Meg and Tory. This is why old news is mad with the new guard – we move the pulse of the people. Y’all just writing stories for clicks. Shameful but thanks for the attention anyways,” he said.
