Boosie is calling for black people to boycott Netflix’s Jeffrey Dahmer series.
The popular new series has been doing numbers on the streaming service and is the latest most-talked about show. However, Boosie is not here for it.
On Thursday, Boosie expressed to his Twitter followers that he feels that black people should not watch the show. The new semi-fictional series surrounds the life and crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer. Dahmer was a serial killer and cannibal who murdered a total of 17 men between 1978 and 1991.
“AS BLACK PEOPLE WE SHOULD BOYCOTT THE JEFFERY DAHMER MOVIE ‼️WHAT HE DID TO OUR BLACK KIDS IS FUCKING SICK #NETFLIX TAKE THIS MOVIE DOWN ITS SICK,” he tweeted.
Boosie mentions black kids because the majority of Dahmer’s 17 victims were black homosexual men.
Unfortunately, Boosie did not get the support he was hoping for from fans. One Twitter user stated that Boosie’s request wasn’t smart.
“this is the most dumbest shxt I’ve ever heard . it’s a series that listed each and every victim and their age . why should we boycott something that mentioned their names and the horrible things that was done to them &’ 9 out 10 people never even heard of the victims,” the user wrote.
It’s not likely that Netflix will remove the series seeing as it’s currently the fifth-highest premiere behind “Stranger Things” and “Squid Game.”
