Back in February, rapper Boosie made headlines for transphobic comments he made about Dwyane Wade’s daughter, Zaya Wade.

Dwyane, his wife Gabrielle Union, and his son, Zaire, have proudly accepted Zaya’s decision live in her truth, which, in turn, has forced several celebrities to speak out and out of turn, including Boosie, who insists she’s too young for such a life-altering decision.

But now, in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the rapper is once again opening up about the situation, doubling down on his initial stance.

“I said what I said, and I really meant it,” Boosie explained. “I just dropped a song on the album called, ‘Who Am I To Judge?’ with all the shit I done did. But I judge, and that’s how I feel about that situation, strongly.”

When asked if he felt like he needed to apologize to the Wade family, Boosie insisted that Jay-Z attempted to set up a phone call for him to apologize, but he wasn’t interested.

“They say JAY-Z was gonna get him on the phone and all that sh*t,” he revealed. “I need to apologize to save this, and save that, that I got coming up. …Aye, tell Jay-Z I don’t wanna talk. Yeah, I’m not apologizing for sh*t. I don’t give a f*ck if Jesus call and tell me to apologize. I said what I said, man. I felt that was right. I felt that was right, and I said what I said. I don’t wanna talk; I don’t wanna apologize. I’m standing on that.”

As the show hosts attempted to explain why they don’t agree with Boosie, revealing how Zaya was probably hurt most in the incident, Boosie said, “Right. But I said it, and I really did mean it.”
