A Boston Doctor Is Behind Bars After Being Arrested in Child Sex-Trafficking Sting

Sadeq Quraishi

A Boston doctor unknowingly told an undercover officer he’s “just not in the mood to get arrested today” during a federal child sex trafficking sting.

Anesthesiologist Sadeq Quraishi is facing an attempted sex trafficking charge after allegedly agreeing to pay $250 to have sex with an underage girl.

The bust occurred after Quraishi responded to an online ad showing two 18-year-old women described as “beautiful flowers.”

The undercover officer behind the ad told Quraishi that the teens were actually 12 and 14 years old. The officer also added that the two girls were available to have sex in exchange for money.

Initially, Quraishi was hesitant to get involved with the girls but eventually agreed to pay $250 for a sexual encounter. In one message, Quraishi calls the girls’ bluff and mentions that one of the girls isn’t really 14.

However, the undercover officer was able to sweet-talk him back into the agreement.

“Its alright. I mean you can pretend if you want, but that’s why I keep it realz. case peeps don’t like it. shame. you were sweet but I get it,” the officer replied.

Quraishi then responds, “Ugh … man you’re making things difficult. Seems like a fun experience … just not in the mood to get arrested today.”

The doctor was arrested after he paid an undercover agent $250 for a room key at a Boston hotel.

“When we learned today of the disturbing allegations made against Dr. Quraishi. We immediately suspended his medical staff privileges. He has been placed on leave while we await further information from law enforcement,” Tufts Medical Center, where Quraishi works, said in a statement.
