Bow Wow denies claims that he scammed a 10-year-old girl out of a $15,000 feature.
According to court records, the young girl claimed she utilized Cash App to send Bow Wow $3,000 in exchange for a feature. Despite receiving the payment, the girl’s family alleges that the rapper did not follow through with his commitment. Consequently, the 10-year-old’s father is taking legal action to recover $15,000 in compensation.
“Based on the foregoing and as a direct consequence of Defendant’s actions and failures, Plaintiff’s total damages, including costs and attorney’s fees, amount to $15,000.00″ the document read.
Following accusations against him, Bow Wow denied any involvement through a tweet on Wednesday. He clarified that he does not conduct business through apps, implying that the transaction via Cash App may not have occurred, or if it did, it was not sent to him as alleged by the girl’s family.
“D pimpin done got yall again huh? [laughing emoji] i dont conduct business on apps. I do NOT use or have cash app. So if you aint call management and send a wire .. you def was NOT dealing w me,” he tweeted. “Be careful who yall send yalls money to online. This happens everyday to folks. This the 3rd time somebody acting like me catfishing people.”
The lawsuit was filed shortly after Bow Wow announced his plans to revive the Scream Tours, a series of concerts that were popular in the early 2000s. The original Scream tours featured performances from artists like B2K, Chris Brown, and Bow Wow himself during their earlier careers. He mentioned that the upcoming tour aims to introduce the next generation of talented artists to a wider audience.
“That was then This is NOW! Its time to SCRRRRREAAAAM,” he said. “Them kids been getting on yalls nerves all summer its only one place to bring them so they can be as wild as they want! SCREAM TOUR 23 ‘NEXT UP’ We baaaaack !!”
