The tea is officially boiling over. In a new episode of the Life Over Likes podcast, Brandon Medford, the father of Alexis Skyy’s daughter, Alaiya, is opening up about the messy origins of their past relationship.
According to Brandon, his decision to pursue Alexis wasn’t exactly driven by romance; it was a calculated move to get revenge on his ex-girlfriend, DreamDoll.
During the sit-down, Brandon revealed that after his breakup with Dream, he intentionally went after someone in her “inner circle.” At the time, Alexis and DreamDoll were famously inseparable “IG besties.” Brandon didn’t sugarcoat his motives, admitting he wanted to hit Dream where it hurt.
“I was like, we broke up. I was like, you know what? I’m gonna go like f*ck one of your best friends,” Brandon shared during the interview. And at the time, Alexis Skyy was a best friend. DreamDoll. You know what I’m saying? DreamDoll and Alexis Skyy back in the day, you see them on Instagram, like besties.”
Brandon described himself as a “sniper” during that era, detailing how he tracked Alexis down at a party hosted by Drake. He recalled pulling up in a “lit” i8 just as she was leaving to make his move. However, what started as a “get back” situation turned into a genuine connection once he got to know the Love & Hip Hop star behind the scenes.
“Alexis is a very cool girl, she’s my homie to this day,” he said, praising her personality. “We was talking for like two, three months… she was doing everything I could ask for at the time. Cooking, cleaning. That’s a lot of things people don’t know about her. Like she could really be like a housewife, mom type of vibe.”
While the two eventually went their separate ways as a couple, they share a daughter, and Brandon seems to have walked away with a newfound respect for her, even if the foundation was built on spite. He even gave a nod to her current situation, saying, “Shout out to whoever she with… Lucky man.”
The revelation adds a whole new layer to the long-standing tension between DreamDoll and Alexis, proving that sometimes the drama on the grid is nothing compared to what’s happening in the DMs.
