Britney Spears and her estranged husband Sam Asghari aren’t speaking. Sources told TMZ the former couple are communicating through their legal teams.
Sources also told the outlet that the two haven’t spoken since Asghari left their home.
It’s likely easy for the two to stop all communications amid their divorce since they don’t have children together.
“She’s not letting [Sam] in the home and they aren’t talking,” an insider exclusively told US Magazine of the pop star, 41. “They have had problems for a while and all of the drama surrounding Britney was incredibly hard for Sam to take.”
Asghari recently filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, and is seeking spousal support to cover his attorney’s fees from Spears.
The source also told US that Asghari thought the “intensity” surrounding Spears was “killing him,” but tried to make it work.
“It’s been draining, yet his love never wavered. He just wishes people understood the depth of what they’re going through.”
Another source previously said the two had “issues” but doesn’t believe infidelity was one of the reasons.
“Their friends would be really surprised if Britney cheated and they just don’t see that as a possibility,” the insider said on Thursday. “Although things seemed OK on the surface, there was a lot going on behind the scenes. Sam just wasn’t happy and no longer saw a future with Britney.”
Spears and Asghari began dating in 2016. He proposed in 2021 and they got married last year.
