Candace Owens is denying a viral claim that she secretly had lesbian dating profiles and cheated on her husband, George Farmer, with women.
The accusation came from the X account Esoteric Shaggyism, @EsoShaggy, which posted on September 28 that Owens is a lesbian with four dating accounts. The account claimed that profiles created in 2007 and 2008 can be traced back to Owens through old usernames and email addresses, including one tied to the University of Rhode Island, where she went to college. It also claimed one of the accounts was logged into in January 2022, years after Owens married Farmer, and used that alleged login to accuse her of cheating.
The post linked to a long Substack piece topped with a cartoon of Owens licking a hairless cat. In later posts, the same account made even wilder claims, including that Owens groped women at her bridal shower.
None of it has been verified. No one has independently confirmed that Candace Owens created, controlled or ever accessed the profiles.
Owens responded on X, writing that “of everything they’ve made up, this is the most deranged.” She said she had one boyfriend all through college, the same guy she dated in high school. She also said the photo placed on one of the profiles is actually a picture of her with her aunt and uncle at her 2015 birthday dinner in New York City, pulled from her personal Facebook page.
She did not stop at the denial. Owens blamed Zionists for the story and accused the people pushing it of being part of what she called the “Epstein class,” claiming they sexually abuse children. She offered no evidence for that accusation.
Conservative commentator Harrison H. Smith came to her defense, posting that he does not believe “a girl as pretty as Candace” ever made an account on a dating site back when they were college aged.
Candace Owens has been outspoken about sexuality herself. In a July 2024 interview with Don Lemon, she called same sex marriage a sin. She has also made headlines for her claims about other people’s private lives, most notably her claim that French first lady Brigitte Macron was born male, which led Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron to sue her for defamation in 2025.
Owens married Farmer in 2019, and the couple share four children.
