In a tweet on Tuesday, Cardi B expressed her disbelief over celebrities’ admissions that they don’t bathe regularly.
“Wassup with people saying they don’t shower? It’s giving itchy,” the rapper tweeted after several celebrities admitted that they don’t take daily showers.
Recently, Jake Gyllenhaal has admitted that he doesn’t find bathing “necessary.”
Gyllenhaal told Vanity Fair last week that bathing is becoming less and less necessary.
“I do believe because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do that. But I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.”
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard had explained a few days earlier that they wait until their daughters “stink” before cleaning them.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher only bathed their children when they could “see the dirt on them” as infants.
Some celebs, like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, are adamant about bathing.
“I’m the opposite of a ‘not washing themselves’ celeb,” the actor tweeted Friday. “Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work.”
