Cardi B says she got dragged after Rolling Stone placed her album #16 on their 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums Of All Time list.

The “Be Careful” rapper sat down with Angela Yee’s “Lip Service,” where she dished on her feelings regarding her album “Invasion of Privacy,” making a higher position on the list, ahead of Nas and Notorious B.I.G.

“I do understand how people would feel sentimental about things,” she shared before adding that certain albums on the list are “classics” that introduced her to rap. While she agreed that many albums should have been placed higher, the Grammy-award-winner doesn’t believe she should be blamed for the list.

“I understand that people feel a certain type of way but don’t try to disrespect me on my work, on my album,” she added.

Cardi admits she does feel that Rolling Stone purposely placed her album high on the list to “start a stir” and create conversation surrounding their rap list. She shared that she feels the platform set her up to be dragged by social media and hip-hop enthusiasts.

“Invasion of Privacy” was released on April 6th, 2018. The critically acclaimed project debuted on the heels of its leading single, “Bodak Yellow,” and became an instant success. The album sold over 250,000 units within its first week and earned Cardi B a Grammy award for Best Rap Album.
