Cardi B has waited months before revealing the faces of each of her four children, and her youngest son, Grey M.D., is the latest example of the rapper introducing her babies to the world on her own terms. His first birthday on November 4, 2026, marked a major milestone as she shared clear photos of the son she shares with NFL star Stefon Diggs.
For longtime fans, this approach is nothing new. Cardi has been setting boundaries around her children’s public appearances since becoming a mother in 2018, even when that meant turning down major money.
Her first child, Kulture Kiari Cephus, was born on July 10, 2018, during Cardi’s rise to superstardom. Although Cardi announced her daughter’s arrival and name immediately, seeing Kulture’s face was another story.
She initially shared small glimpses, including a photo of Kulture’s hand and an Instagram Story video that deliberately kept her head out of the frame.
In October 2018, Cardi told Ebro Darden on Apple Music that she had received a lucrative offer for exclusive photographs.
“I got offered seven figures [for baby pictures], but I’m just not ready yet,” she explained.
She also told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m scared of sharing her to the world. There are too many mean people out there.”

On December 5, 2018, nearly five months after giving birth, Cardi finally posted Kulture’s face on Instagram. The baby wore a pink outfit and head wrap while sitting in a car seat.

The reveal came one day after Cardi publicly announced that she and Offset were separating.
When Wave Set Cephus arrived on September 4, 2021, Cardi followed a similar approach.
She announced his birth on September 6 with a hospital photo featuring Offset and their newborn wrapped in a blanket. His name and face remained private for more than seven months.
That changed on April 14, 2022, when Cardi posted photos of Wave wearing a blue outfit, matching hat, and diamond jewelry. Her caption consisted of dinosaur, wave, and teddy bear emojis.
Offset separately posted their son and identified him as Wave Set Cephus. The family also appeared together in Essence magazine’s May/June issue, with Offset’s three older children included in the portraits.
Cardi later explained on social media, “When Set suggested Wave, I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME!”
In the Essence interview, she connected the decision to delay Wave’s introduction to the nasty online comments Kulture had received.
“We want to protect our feelings, because we get very, very angry and upset,” Cardi said.

Her third child with Offset, Blossom Belle Cephus, was born September 7, 2024, amid their divorce proceedings.
Cardi announced her daughter’s arrival on September 12, 2024, sharing hospital photos featuring Kulture, Wave, and Offset. She captioned them, “The prettiest lil thing 9/7/24.”
But she kept Blossom’s name private for months.
Cardi first publicly confirmed the name on May 30, 2025, during a conversation on X Spaces about her co-parenting issues with Offset.
Her daughter’s full face was finally revealed on June 16, 2025, when Cardi shared family photos featuring nine-month-old Blossom smiling in a pink swimsuit and floral Louis Vuitton headscarf.

Then came Grey M.D, Cardi’s fourth child and first with Stefon Diggs, born November 4, 2025.
Cardi initially shared newborn photos on November 19, featuring Grey in New England Patriots gear, along with a hospital photo of the family. His face was concealed, and his name was not announced.
Exactly one year after his birth, Cardi shared a new birthday carousel revealing his face and introducing him as Grey M.D.
