A Georgia judge has paused Cardi B’s efforts to collect on the $4 million owed by blogger Tasha K after winning a defamation suit.

Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, filed for bankruptcy earlier this week. The filing revealed the YouTuber had no more than $95 in her bank account.

Cardi B was one of 30 debtors that received notice about the bankruptcy filing. Others notified of the filing include the IRS, Bank of America, Florida Department of Revenue, and more.

The Chapter 11 judge placed all of Tasha K’s pending legal matters on hold until the bankruptcy case was resolved. That means the Bronx rapper will have to refrain from trying to collect the money she’s owed.

In the bankruptcy filing, the disgraced blogger listed her assets, including her car, jewelry, and some designer clothes and bags, as having an estimated worth of between $50 and $100k. She believes her liabilities fall somewhere between $1 million and $10 million.

A status conference between Tasha, her attorney, and a Chapter 11 trustee is scheduled for July 29. The trustee will review the case and make recommendations. But Tasha has until August 23 to file a repayment plan, or the bankruptcy proceedings will end, and collection efforts will again be allowed.

The Grammy-winning rapper sued the blogger in 2019 after Tasha made false statements about her. Tasha made videos claiming Cardi had an STD, that she did drugs, and worked as a prostitute.

Cardi was awarded more than $2.5 million in damages and an additional $1.3 million to cover legal fees. Since receiving the award, Cardi has been aggressively trying to collect her coins and has successfully collected thousands toward repayment.
