Cardi B’s brand-new watch reportedly carries a $3 million price tag, and the jeweler who found it says the watch was nearly impossible to get. The Grammy winner turned 34 on Sunday, October 11, and unveiled the gift on Instagram on Thursday, October 22, calling it a gift to herself.

The watch is a Daytona from a Barbie-inspired run that sits outside Rolex’s standard catalog. It is built with pink sapphires, diamonds, and yellow gold, and it comes on a matching pink strap. Eric The Jeweler, whose full name is Eric Mavani and who founded the New York luxury brand Mavani and Co, tracked it down and fastened it onto her wrist on camera.Mavani told Cardi the piece was nearly impossible to get, but his team got the task done. He said there are probably only 10 made in the world and that this was the only one available for sale. The count of 10 is his own estimate.
Cardi sat beside her hot pink piano in a low-cut blue dress while he put it on her. She told him she needed somebody she trusted, said her legs and hands were about to shake, and thanked him for searching everywhere around the world. She also admitted she had been driving him crazy.
The pricey Rolex was not the only gift. Pristine Jewelers made her a custom ring with 7 carats of natural diamonds, and she matched the watch with a bubblegum pink Hermès Mini Kelly bag in matte alligator with palladium hardware.
This is far from her first major timepiece. Watch publication Time, and Tide traced her path from sports watches covered in aftermarket diamonds to complicated Patek Philippe pieces. Aftermarket diamonds are stones added by a third party after the watch left the factory, a style known as a bustdown. In February 2021, she posted a gold Patek Philippe Nautilus, and in May she posted a Patek Philippe World Time, a New York limited edition that Time and Tide tied to her Washington Heights roots. Her collection also includes an iced-out Nautilus 5980 chronograph and a stainless steel 5980/1A that was customized with aftermarket diamonds.
Offset gave her an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked in frosted white gold for Valentine’s Day 2021, reported at $375,000. The 37mm watch has an openworked dial, which means the face is cut away so the wearer can see the machinery inside.
In February, ahead of her Little Miss Drama Tour, she bought herself another Royal Oak in frosted gold. According to E!, that watch has 32 baguette-cut rainbow sapphires on the face and an 18-carat frosted gold case. She called it a “little gift for me, from me,” and Benny the Jeweler shared a video of her getting it fitted. People reports that watches like it can reach six figures on the resale market.
Offset also gave their daughter Kulture a pink Richard Mille for her third birthday in 2021, reported at $250,000 or more.
