Cardi B Shuts Down Rumors: Her New Apartment Isn’t About a Split from Offset (Video)

Cardi B isn’t here for the rumors swirling around her latest move. The Grammy-winning rapper took to Instagram Live to clear the air about why she’s getting an apartment in New York City, and it’s not what people are assuming.

Lately, some blogs have been buzzing with headlines suggesting that Cardi’s new city digs are tied to a potential split from her husband, Offset. But Cardi quickly put those rumors to rest. She made it crystal clear that her decision to get a place in the city has nothing to do with her relationship. Instead, it’s all about convenience and her growing need to be closer to her work.

“Right now, I’m in the city, and I need to go take a shower,” Cardi shared during her live session. “I’m so tired of going to my engineer’s gym bathroom to take a shower. Or sometimes I have to rent a hotel just to take a shower.”

With her busy schedule that often requires meetings with her label multiple times a week, Cardi explained that having an apartment in the city just makes sense. “I’m going to be coming to have meetings with my label like twice a week. And on top of that, I’m trying to get an office out here.”

Cardi also addressed a common misconception about her living situation, making it clear that despite owning a house in Atlanta, she doesn’t actually live there. “A lot of people have this impression that I live in Atlanta. I don’t live in Atlanta. I have a house in Atlanta. I don’t live there,” she said.

While the house in Atlanta is shared with Offset, Cardi confessed that she’s never really liked living there. “I only go to Atlanta like three or four times a year. And probably I go for a week, maybe less. I tried to move to Atlanta in 2018 and I lived there for like six months. And I hated it. I don’t have not one friend in Atlanta, and I don’t have not even one family member in Atlanta. So I just don’t like Atlanta.”

Despite having a beautiful home there, Cardi emphasized that the city just doesn’t feel like the right fit for her. So, while the rumors about a divorce-related apartment might make for juicy headlines, the truth is far simpler: Cardi B is just doing what’s best for her career and lifestyle.
