Cardi B is not interested in the internet’s attempts to compare her career to other female rappers. During a recent X Spaces session, she addressed the constant chatter surrounding her “Little Miss Drama” ticket sales and explained that her vision for the future is much larger than people realize.
Instead of focusing on local rivalries, she is looking at global powerhouses like Bad Bunny for her next move. “I want to do numbers like Bad Bunny,” Cardi said. “This motherfucker is selling out shows with 90,000 people. That’s my goal. Y’all thinking too small.”
The Bronx native was surprisingly candid about why she hasn’t reached those massive stadium milestones just yet. She took full responsibility for her career pace, noting that her current discography needs to grow before she can command the world’s biggest stages. “I’m on some shit that’s like…I want to do more. I feel like I deserve to do more. And the reason I’m not doing more is because I’m not doing enough,” she admitted. “I gotta put in the work.” For Cardi, the benchmark is clear: “I want to make 14 million in two shows. I want to be able to say I sold out a stadium of 90 thousand people.”
The conversation comes right as her “Little Miss Drama” tour wrapped up its final date on April 18 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The closing show was a high-profile affair featuring a guest spot from Missy Elliott, though the event almost didn’t happen.
Now that the tour is behind her, Cardi is ready to take a breather and reclaim her personal life after spending the last two years dealing with back-to-back pregnancies. “I am feeling very emotional about [the end of the tour]. I kind of want it to be over because I’m a little tired but then it’s like, ‘Whoa, what do I do now?’” she shared. “I’m going to take a really, really short break. I don’t even think I’m even going on a vacation. I don’t even know what I’m going to do. I do want to be outside though, I got to live a little bit. I’ve been pregnant for two summers straight. So I have to have a little fun.”
