Carolina Panther’s Greg Hardy was arrested by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department shortly before 1am on Tuesday, May 13th. He was charged with Assault On A Female and Communicating Threats, but it’s hard to determine who the real victim was based on conflicting 911 calls.
Hardy’s girlfriend claims that during a fight, Hardy pushed her down on a couch covered in assault rifles and threatened to shoot her. She also says Hardy choked her, threw her into a tub, then dragged her across the floor by her hair. In one of the 911 calls, a heavily breathing Hardy describes girlfriend Nicole Holder as out of control, intoxicated and trying to attack him with the heel of her shoe. “Like, yo, she’s out of it, my man,” Hardy tells the 911 operator. “And she will not stop coming at me, bro.” He even mentions that he thinks she’s on coke.
On another call made from the security desk of Hardy’s condo, a woman claims to have been attending a gathering in Hardy’s apartment and witnessed Hardy beat his girlfriend for over 30 minutes. “We need the police here now before this girl gets seriously hurt. Now!” she said.
According to his girlfriend, Hardy keeps 25-30 “AK-47s, automatic-looking weapons, shotguns, rifles and pistols in his condo and former residence.
