Casanova has broken his silence for the first time since receiving a more than 15-year prison sentence.

On Wednesday, the Brooklyn rapper expressed his thoughts on the recent ruling through a Twitter statement. The list of crimes Casanova was accused of included a shooting incident in Florida in July 2020, a robbery in New York City in August 2018, and involvement in a conspiracy to traffic more than 100 kilograms of marijuana.

“Everything to the chin, Nothing to the heart,” he wrote. “I GET IT NOW. I hope that don’t go over ya heads.”

Earlier this week, U.S. District Judge Philip M. Halpern sentenced Casanova to serve 188 months in prison, emphasizing his role as a prominent figure within a violent street gang. The judge also described him as a “high-profile leader” of the said gang.

“Caswell Senior is not just a notorious recording artist, but he is also a high-profile leader of a vicious street gang and a magnet for gang violence,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said.

Williams added, “At a crowded Miami house party, Senior personally fired a gun that seriously injured and could have killed a victim, inciting a shootout. Further, Senior’s stature in the community was central to Gorilla Stone’s successful recruitment and nationwide expansion.”

Casanova’s sentencing marked the 12th in the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang case, as he became the latest defendant to receive a sentence. Additionally, five other defendants have pleaded guilty and are currently awaiting their own sentencing.
