Black Ink Crew star Ceaser Emanuel has filed a defamation lawsuit against the mother of his child, TMZ reported in May 2021.

According to TMZ, Emanuel is suing Crystal over her public statements about child abuse allegations. Earlier this year, the couple’s teenage daughter accused Emanuel of abuse. Emanuel has denied the claims and has said he only disciplined his daughter.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Emanuel points to Crystal’s Instagram posts and interviews, which he calls inflammatory. He claims the accusations have forced him to put his show on hold and cost him endorsement deals and community work opportunities.

TMZ also reported that Emanuel’s legal team scheduled a press conference for Thursday to address the suit. Crystal’s attorney, Seth Schraier, told the outlet the event would violate an order of protection she has against Emanuel, which bars contact and any family offense or harassment. Schraier said he would immediately ask for a court conference if the press conference went ahead.

These are allegations from both sides, and nothing in the case has been decided by a court.
